From rocky, mineral-rich soils, this is from a unique South African Terroir, well-suited to these Southern French grape varieties, yet this time with a higher proportion of Syrah, followed by Carignan, Mourvèdre and Grenache. With a longer time ageing – both in terms of maceration of the juice on the grape skins and ageing in seasoned French oak barrels – this is a super concentrated red with notes of sage, spicy bramble and red berry fruit, perhaps even a hint of Ribena!
