This year we start with a new fizz that stole the show at our recent tasting: Champagne Pierre Mignon Premier Cru. To go with the starters it's Dezat's stunning Pouilly Fumé, one of the finest examples in the region. This year's "richer white" is one of our newer finds, small production Burgundy from Thierry Drouin - Burgundy has been notoriously difficult to find over the last few years, so this has been an extra special find for us. The Chateau des Tours Cru Beaujolais went down superbly at our recent Bojo night, elegant yet full of delicious red fruits, super soft and great with the classics at lunch. For the fuller-bodied red we've moved to the South of France Minervois, we were struck by the intense fruit, concentration, yet super smooth texture on the 2019 vintage, a food-friendly style that really leaves an impression. Finally we've brought back the Maury, the Port alternative from France, also superb with chocolate.
