Priorat is small but now producing some of the most sought after wines in Spain - being one of only two regions to have obtained the prestigious DOCa status. Its “llicorella” soil is a type of dark slate mixed with quartz, unique to the region, which forces the vines to work hard, producing wines with intensity yet finesse. The “Etnic” is a blend of old vine Garnacha and Carinyena that is perfumed, full of ripe black fruit, a touch of cocoa, and that lovely savoury mineral, balsamic that is so typical of Priorat.
