This wine is from the famous region of Rioja, yet uniquely different. Luis also does things a little differently, preferring to focus on minority and native grape varieties, without intervening in the vineyard too much. Rioja Baja is also lower altitude, flatter and warmer, so lends itself to alternatives to the usual Tempranillo of Rioja – this wine is predominantly Graciano, blended with Garnacha. The result in an intense, aromatic, black-fruited red, with a striking herbal scent.
