Bideona Rioja Alavesa Las Parcelas

Bideona was founded in 2018 and offer a new perspective on the wines of Rioja, with an emphasis on the vineyard site, rather than what happens in the cellar. The Alavesa region of Rioja is higher in elevation and influenced by the river Ebro, resulting in a cooler climate and wines with a little more finesse. The fruit for “Las Parcelas” comes from lots of tiny plots of older bush vines, planted on limestone soils. A small proportion of the wine is aged in oak barrels, with the remainder in stainless steel, lending a freshness and purity to the wine.
