Savennieres La Croix Picot

The region of Savennieres produces some of the most structured, finest, age-worthy Chenin Blanc in the world. Philip Fournier and his son Julien run this small Organic Estate, following winemaking traditions that began over 800 years ago. The wine has a laser-sharp mineral edge, lightly rounded-off with some time spent in oak barrels, without tasting at all oaky. As the wine opens up aromas of quince, grapefruit and nectarine start to unfold, underpinned by an amazing saline, stoney minerality.
