Markovitis Xinomavro 2019

The Markovitis vineyards are in the mountainous area of Náoussa in north-east Greece. Whilst this area is technically Mediterranean, there are warm to hot days, yet cool nights, which give the wine a real freshness. One of the best and most historic examples of Xinomavro produced in Naoussa. Ripe red fruit, sweet spices and Mediterranean herbs on the nose, a long spicy finish and balanced acidity. If you like Northern Italian Nebbiolo then there’s a very good chance you’ll love this, also fantastic with cheese.
