Nicolas Maillet Macon Verze

This is from Verzé, which is in the Maconnais region of Burgundy, but closer in style to many of the more illustrious names further north in the Côte d’Or. A cool climate, being a corridor of well-ventilated opposing east and south-west facing slopes, with deep limestone and chalk soils. It is recognised as producing some of the tensest, freshest and most minerally wines in the Maconnais.
